About the Image Metadata Viewer
The Image Metadata Viewer reads a photo's basic file information — name, type, size, and dimensions — and, when present, its embedded EXIF data such as camera make and model, exposure settings, capture date, and GPS coordinates.
Everything happens locally in your browser using the File and DataView APIs. Your image is never uploaded anywhere, making this a safe way to check what information a photo might be carrying before you share it.

Common Use Cases
Checking for Privacy Leaks: See whether a photo embeds GPS coordinates or a device serial number before sharing it publicly.
Verifying Camera Settings: Inspect the aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and focal length used to capture a shot.
Confirming Capture Date: Check a photo's original timestamp, which can differ from its file-modified date.
Debugging Image Pipelines: Verify that an image processing step preserved or stripped EXIF data as expected.
Why Use This Tool
Fully Private
Everything is read directly in your browser — no image is ever uploaded to a server.
GPS & Camera Details
Extracts GPS coordinates, camera make/model, and shooting settings from EXIF data when present.
